Where do I start with Luke & Abby? They’ve been a couple for almost 8 years and are absolutely 100% made for each other. I adore young love! (insert heart eye emoji here)
When Abby reached out to me and mentioned their wedding would take place in the backyard of her childhood home, I squealed with joy! I love weddings like these! She had every little detail accounted for and thought out beautifully. They also had a sangria fountain for their guests to enjoy…I MEAN, HOW GENIUS IS THAT?
With all of these gorgeous details into place and everyone looking so nice, I was hoping that pesky 40-50% chance of rain that was supposed to come just as the ceremony began wasn’t going to actually happen. I even texted Abby a few days before that I had some umbrellas if we would need them for photos. Thankfully, those umbrellas never left the back seat of my car! It was a beautiful overcast day with some peaks of sun throughout. Although, a few sprinkles did come down right as Abby and her dad walked down the aisle (followed by the videographer and I exchanging a nervous look to each other from the front row). Those few sprinkles came and went and we missed the storm by a couple miles or so. So close that you could see it off into the distance and God let us know He was there by giving us a big rumble RIGHT as the pastor said “the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”. Talk about goosebumps throughout the guests!
When it came down to it, even if it would have rained, it would have been a perfect wedding. Luke and Abby were married. That’s all that mattered. So many guests filled that tent with love, laughter and support for these two. This day was one for the books. Brooke and I were holding ourselves back from joining in on the dance floor with off of their amazing guests, which included THREE past CWP couples of ours. That’s a first!
Luke & Abby, enjoy this wonderful new chapter as husband & wife! You both are so blessed!
